Water takes about 80% of the geographic space the world over and also forms most part of the content of our blood. This very abundant resource is so endowed with very curative and medicinal properties, but not many people know.

Below are therefore some of those reasons why you must make a habit of taking water adequately:

Prevention of minor disorders
Most minor disorders we have, like heartburn, headache, joint pain, back pain and fatigue are often suffered as a result of dehydration and not in themselves illnesses. Others like kidney stones and constipation can also be effectively addressed by taking water.

What you do by taking lots of water is to make a smooth passage way in your intestinal tract to ward off bacterias and other toxic wastes from coming in contact with the colon walls and in essence spreading to all parts of your body through the blood and causing infections.

Water can also help fight weight accumulation by reducing your intake of food. Often times when we feel hungry, what we actually require is a drink! Our sense of judgement of want of these essentials is poor and so we most times don't recognize the difference between hunger and thirst.

An easy way to achieve taking enough water inspite of food is to fool the brain by cooking water into your food. This is achieved by taking such foods like cereal, pepper soup and pap. However cold alternatives like juice, iced tea and soda will only add unnecessay calories to your diet; so avoid them as possible as you can.

While you sweat or take diuretics like alcohol and caffeine, the body gets dehydrated; to replenish lost water from the body, you need to take enough water. Even "hangovers" can be cured by adequate drinking because what causes the "hangover" is excessive drawing of fluid from the body by alcohol to produce urine and this has to be replenished.

It is therefore advisable that you drink an average of 4quarts of water daily or as much as you can take; it is never too much!
